Look at the week you actually have

Review work hours, travel, family commitments and the times you usually feel rushed. Choose training slots that leave room to get ready and finish without immediately colliding with another commitment. An early session suits some people; an evening or weekend slot suits others.

Choose three realistic appointments

Put the sessions in your calendar as specific appointments. For example, you might choose Monday and Wednesday before work, with a third session on Saturday. This is a planning example, not a prescribed exercise schedule. Agree on timing, workout content and recovery needs with your coach.

For a group class, check the batch timetable first. For personal training, ask which available slots fit your work pattern. A plan that depends on unavailable session times will be difficult to maintain.

Reduce the preparation time

Keep your workout space clear, put your equipment where it is easy to reach and save the Zoom link. Check your setup before the first session so you are not solving camera or audio problems when training is due to start.

Online sessions remove the journey to a gym, but you still need uninterrupted time for the workout. Tell people at home when you will be occupied.

Have a backup for busy weeks

A late meeting or work trip does not have to cancel your whole routine. Tell your coach early and discuss whether a session can be moved or the week’s plan adjusted. Rescheduling depends on availability and the agreed plan.

Avoid trying to squeeze missed sessions into unsuitable times simply to complete a number. The aim is a repeatable routine with useful feedback, rather than a perfect attendance streak at any cost.

Review the pattern, not one difficult day

If you repeatedly miss the same slot, the timing may need changing. Discuss what happened during your weekly check-in and choose a more realistic option. Recording attendance and the reason for a missed session can make this conversation more useful.

Choose support that fits your working life

Read our group versus one-to-one comparison to decide which format gives you a workable routine. If your main goal is nutrition and weight-management support, explore the separate 120-day programme; coached workouts are not included in that programme.
